Nervous System Helps Amputees with Prosthetics

Sandia National Laboratories researchers, using off-the-shelf equipment in a chemistry lab, have been working on ways to improve amputees’ control over prosthetics with direct help from their own nervous systems.

This video shows the microstereolithograph technique used by a Sandia National Laboratories’ team working on neural interfaces patterning a much larger structure than would be done for the research. In this case, the technique is patterning the Sandia thunderbird logo.
